Mind Your Step: Includiverse at The Box Museum

Includiverse, Every Step Of The Way

We’re back! and better than ever with our latest round of user testing on-site at The Box Museum. Thanks to our user feedback, so far, and tons of hard work from our head of development Joel Hodges, we've streamlined the tech and made some important updates. Our latest iteration not only provides in-glasses subtitles for digital content, but can recognise where you are in the museum and deliver the content based on what exhibition you’re looking at. This feat of technology is made possible by Bluetooth Low Energy tracking and is a huge step forward for our R and D project and accessibility within museums.  We've also designed a brand-new user interface with a cleaner navigation control.

Design With, Not For

We prioritise lived experience and user feedback to inform us during our rounds of development and testing and we’re passionate about facilitating a world where accessibility is built-in, not bolted-on. Retrofitting an existing space can cost up to 50% more than installing features during initial construction. Inclusion saves money! We have consulted with our users from the outset, including those with hearing loss, neurodivergence and for whom English is a second language. The feedback provided by those who experience accessibility barriers has been essential to us getting to this stage, and for your honest feedback we are always grateful.
