Includiverse at Immersive Innovation XR
Immersive Innovation XR
Includiverse were delighted to attend Immersive Innovation XR hosted by Nexus Leeds. It gave us the opportunity to hear from industry experts about how they are using their technological advancements as a force for good. We're extremely passionate about the democratisation of content for some of the most disadvantaged people in society and it is always helpful to learn and grow from others in the industry.
The Event
You know you're at a good event when you look at the programme and you want to attend everything! The event certainly left no stone unturned with talks, panel discussions and live demonstrations throughout the two day agenda. We heard from Harry Virdi, senior sales manager at HTC Vive, a panel discussion moderated by none other than Asha Easton, lead of Innovate UK Immersive Tech Network, and had the opportunity to brainstorm our own immersive tech product in an expert-led workshop.

It's always a privilege to learn about the latest technologies and research projects stepping on to the scene but sometimes the best way to learn is by doing - and we had plenty of opportunity to try out tech for ourselves. This included an AR headset overlaying meeting notes into your field of vision, a flight simulator designed to train pilots, and...AR smart glasses! We never miss the opportunity to set up our tech and give live demonstrations. Seeing the real-time reactions to our smart glasses accessible solution never gets old.

What We Learned
Immersive Innovation XR was a great success and we're very grateful to have attended. It was a great learning experience and something we will take forward with us on our journey to break down barriers to big screen entertainment. Big thanks to event organiser (and Includiverse partner) Mark Sage for organising the event and to Innovate UK Business Connect for facilitating industry events such as this.
