Includiverse 2.0
Challenge expectations, break down barriers and dream the impossible dream. We are the Includiverse...and we're back! We are thrilled to announce the next phase of our journey using immersive tech to break down accessiblity barriers, this time within museums. The Box Museum have invited us to work with them on this project and we are delighted to be working with a company that reflects our values of diversity and inclusion.

A grant from The Create Growth Programme has enabled us to do a new R&D project with The Box Museum, a truly iconic building in the city of Plymouth. Showcasing centuries of Plymouth’s history in various media such as video footage, artiefacts, photographs and city plans. Accessiblity and inclusion is at the core of what we do here at the Includiverse, and museum spaces can be challenging for those who experience hearing loss, visual impairment or neurodiversity. Plaques next to the exhibits are useful but usually have to be read at a distance, audio tours are available but not a good fit for those who are Deaf or heard of hearing, and it can be hard to take in all the information on offer at a museum if you are over-stimulated or have processing issues. We are going to try and address some of these barriers using the technology that we have already developed for smart glasses. We’re delighted that the team at The Box has invited us in to test and experiment at the museum for this project. Improving access and inclusion is a value they hold front and centre of everything they do, so for us it’s a perfect partnership.
We first brought our accessible smart glasses solution to the masses all the way back in 2024. During that time we researched, tested, travelled and pitched everywhere from schools in Newcastle to mega-festivals in the USA. We are thrilled to be in collaboration with The Box this time around and can't wait to get started!
The Includiverse team are back and raring to go
